You’ve got a strong digital strategy in place for your organization and you think you’re good to go. Who needs more than that, right? Mission accomplished! Unfortunately, this plan can quickly and painfully sink you. Here’s why.
A powerful digital strategy is only part of the picture. Once in place, sitting back and watching it take off can be incredibly satisfying, but it won’t last long. That’s because you need to be sure you have the rest of the package in place or your organization is just as poorly equipped than if you’d done nothing.
Once your digital strategy begins to become successful, ask yourself: do I have a prepared sales force ready to go to support the influx of any added business that rolls in? Is my customer service and support staff tuned in, so that I don’t get customers only to lose them again once they make contact with me and get frustrated?
There are steps in the marketing process that feed off of one another, and knowing and being prepared for them is crucial. Having only one or two elements intact when you need them can work against you and your business. After all of that hard work and preparation, you certainly don’t want that. Be sure you have professionals that understands the importance of the whole picture when it comes to your marketing plan. Having just parts of it can set you up for disaster.
