MediaMark Spotlight’s own Eric Rivera won a 2012 Shoot In Philadelphia screenplay award! Eric is one of our content writers, and he won the Derek Freese Film Foundation Prime Time TV Award for a sitcom pilot. Eric has also written for the Disney Television Animation Program Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.
The Shoot In Philadelphia contest “is a worldwide competition open to screenwriters who submit a feature-length screenplay or an original TV pilot length screenplay to be shot in the Greater Philadelphia region. Scripts were judged on their overall quality, and the extent to which they projected ‘shootability’ in Greater Philadelphia.” The contest is sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, and it’s judged by a panel of Academy Award winning screenwriters, producers of hit films, television actors and actresses, and working Hollywood artists.
